Mustard helps relieve many afflictions, as it contains vitamins, minerals, proteins and fibres which are great for your health. This is how you make a cheap and effective medicine from mustard.

1. Tired muscles
Depending on the area and how severe the pain is, mustard can relieve strained and painful muscles. By combining two tablespoons of mustard with two tablespoons of Epsom salt and rubbing it onto the afflicted area, you can relieve tired muscles. This technique is ideal for when you have been working out and you want to relieve the stress on your muscles, as mustard and Epsom salt help muscles relax.
2. Sore throat
Especially during the colder months, many people get a sore throat. Luckily, this is easy to treat. Mix one tablespoon of mustard seeds with a tablespoon salt, tablespoon honey, the juice of half a lemon and boiling water. Let this mixture cool and gurgle your throat with it. You’ll notice immediate relief.
3. Skin renewal
It’s not necessary to buy expensive face masks! Simply buy some mustard, or grab it from your fridge, and use this as a face mask. Rub a little mustard on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. The vitamin E and antioxidants will make your skin radiate.
4. Removing callused skin
Do you have many calluses on your feet? Try adding a tablespoon of mustard to a foot bath. Your skin will soften immensely, making it easier to remove callused skin.
